DESCRIPTION:The Cape Community Orchestra invites you to their Spring Concert Series titled\, "Give Me Five! Celebrating Musical Fives!" The program will celebrate well known works with the number 5 in their titles. One of the most recognizable symphonies is the opening of Beethoven's 5th with it's four note motif. The rousing finale of Shostakovich's 5th Symphony and the beautiful opening chorale of the final movement of Mendelsshon's 5th Symphony are sure to please audiences of all ages. The concert will also include movie music from Star Wars\, and Dave Brubeck's famous jazz piece\, "Take Five".
