DESCRIPTION:Tue\, Feb 25\, 6-8pm. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Paul Bocuse receiving The Legion of Honor! One of the greatest chefs of the 20th century and owner of a Michelin Guide 3-star restaurant\, Bocuse was honored with a star-studded lunch on February 25\, 1975\, at the Elys e Palace by President Val ry Giscard d'Estaing and 13 of the greatest chefs in France\, and indeed\, the world. Five of the chefs brought the ingredients\, cooked and transfigured them\, and then set down to dine on the results with their President and their colleagues. Before the banquet began\, Mr. Giscard d'Estaing pinned the Legion of Honor on Chef Paul. Interviewed afterward in the palace courtyard\, a blissful Mr. Bocuse called the experience "formidable." Join us for an equally formidable feast\, as we will serve the same 6-course meal served at this luncheon. We will start with Bocuses' truffle consomm \, salmon Loire style with sorrel\, duck and foie gras with red wine\, Roger Verge salad\, assorted cheeses\, and finish with an orange souffl . Complimentary French bubbles will be served\, of course. This is a BYOB event and white and red Burgundy are recommended. $125/$113 for members.
