SUMMARY:History on Tap: Cape Cod Canal
DESCRIPTION:As the Cape Cod Maritime Museum prepares to close its Cape Cod Canal exhibit in Fall 2026\, this program offers a final opportunity to explore one of the region's most significant engineering achievements. Each year\, millions of people cross the bridges over the Canal but few fully understand its history and operation. Join U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park Ranger Samantha Gray for an engaging presentation that delves into the Canal's origins\, construction\, and evolution. Through archival photographs\, historic maps\, and film\, the program traces the Canal from its early development and reconstruction to its role today\, offering insight into both its engineering significance and its impact on Cape Cod. Part of our History on Tap series join us for an evening of local history\, conversation\, and craft brews. Admission: $10 per person / $5 for members Must be 21+ to sample beer\; IDs will be checked at the door. Enjoy craft beer from our sponsor\, Cape Cod Beer\, along with cheese\, crackers\, water\, and non-alcoholic beer options. We highly recommend reserving your tickets on our website in advance. Popular events often sell out quickly\, and we cannot always accommodate walk-ins. Don't miss out plan and secure your spot!
