DESCRIPTION:About the Program Wampanoag Art for the Ages\, Traditional and Transitional is a compilation of profiles of several Wampanoag artists. It provides a look into contemporary Wampanoag art\, as well as the cultural history that inspires it. Author Lee Roscoe will discuss her writing process\, how she chose what to include in the book\, and will show images from the book. About the Author Lee Roscoe\, author of Wampanoag Art for the Ages\, Traditional and Transitional\, is a longtime journalist\, currently correspondent for Artscope and Provincetown magazines. She has written about the Wampanoag for many publications\, including The Journal of the Genealogical Society of Cape Cod and Provincetown Arts magazine\, and has long been involved in indigenous justice issues. Location Options to attend online or in-person are available. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Plymouth Cultural Council\, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council\, a state agency.
