DESCRIPTION:A hybrid virtual/live pastel painting class presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on five Tuesdays\, starting on September 7. No class on 9/14. Weeks 1 & 3 & 5 are virtual and will focus on demonstrations and class exercises. Weeks 2 & 4 are live with a virtual option and will focus on instructor critiques and individual painting time with feedback. Students will gather ideas and develop a series of paintings\, explore individual themes/topics of interest\, experiment with color palettes\, try some new techniques\, and set a plan to complete a series of paintings. Instruction will include using notans as a main design element. Tips for artists will include figures and buildings\, preliminary value sketches\, composition\, and perspective.
