DESCRIPTION:Organist Brian Jones and pianist David McGrory return to the Audience Room of the Yarmouth New Church on Sunday\, September 8th\, for a concert featuring the community center's 1872 William H. Clarke tracker pipe organ and vintage Steinway piano. David McCrory The concert\, at 5 p.m.\, will include duets and solos by Bach\, Mozart\, Chopin\, Ravel\, Walther\, Nevin and Demarest. It will last about an hour. Jones leads the Boston-based semi-professional choir\, The Copley Singers\, and is the Emeritus Director of Music at Trinity Church\, Copley Square\, Boston. McGrory\, who is originally from Belfast\, Northern Ireland\, has a wealth of compositional and piano performance experience. The Yarmouth New Church was built in 1870 as a Swedenborgian church but is now owned by a nonprofit foundation and operated as a community center. The Audience Room has been restored to its 19th-century decorative style and has excellent acoustics for music. Tickets are $20 (free for students under 18)\, available at the door or by advance purchase by calling 508-362-7660 or wl.peat@gmail.com. Cash\, personal checks\, Visa or Mastercard are accepted. Seating is limited. All proceeds will be used to defray the cost of maintaining the Tracker organ.
