DESCRIPTION:Brian Calhoon's Marimba Cabaret is an evening of songs and stories featuring show tunes\, classical and pop covers re-imagined for marimba and his voice. Joined by percussionist\, Julian Loida\, Brian will sing and play marimba and entertain audiences with his unique take on songs you know and love.\n\n\n\nBrian Calhoon (b. 1984\, he/him) is a multi-faceted percussionist\, singer\, and innkeeper based in Provincetown\, MA. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area\, Brian specializes in music for the marimba and his voice and has worked with significant musicians of our time\, including Lyle Mays\, Julia Wolfe\, the Borromeo String Quartet and his former teachers\, Jack Van Geem and Nancy Zeltsman. In 2020\, Brian personally accompanied legendary jazz singer Marilyn Maye and Broadway's John Cameron Mitchell at a porch concert in Provincetown.\n\n\n\nGrab a beach blanket or chair and listen to some live music on the beach!
