DESCRIPTION:The Cape Symphony Orchestra will present "To The Sea\," the final concert of its 2024/25 season\, on June 14 and 15 at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center. Music Director candidate James Blachly will conduct an ocean-inspired program of masterworks by Maurice Ravel\, Toru Takemitsu\, and Ralph Vaughan Williams. The Metropolitan Chorale of Brookline\, soprano Sonja Tengblad\, and baritone Bradford Gleim will perform with the Orchestra. Cape Symphony welcomes audience involvement in its Music Director search. The public may observe James Blachly in rehearsal with the Orchestra from 6:30   8:30 PM Thursday\, June 12 at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center. Concert ticketholders are also invited to a Q&A session led by Assistant Conductor Joe Marchio one hour before each performance. Open rehearsal and/or concert attendees are encouraged to convey their thoughts through a survey to be emailed the following week. "To The Sea" will be performed Saturday\, June 14 at 7:30 PM and Sunday\, June 15 at 3:00 PM at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center\, 744 West Main Street\, Hyannis.
