The Cultural Center of Cape Cod’s new juried exhibition, “Clay,” showcases the sculptural work of ceramic artists from around the world. Unlike any other material, clay has a plasticity and fluidity that can take on many forms and portray many textures. It can have the appearance of wood, stone, paper, glass, flesh, fur, metal…yet be of the same material. A medium as basic as this earth component — humble, elegant, surprising, otherworldly — with a history as long as civilization. “Clay” will be on display from May 31- June 22.
