A hilarious and thought-provoking look at the serious topics of aging and ageism, this presentation could change the way you view the so-called Third Act. Ageism is discrimination based on age - when someone assumes we are too old for something based on stereotypes. Research has shown that stereotyping is a mistake because the older we get, the more different we become from each other. (As one doctor said, “If you’ve seen one 80-year-old, you’ve seen one 80-year-old.”) Ageism has been described as the last socially sanctioned prejudice behind sexism, racism, and ableism.
