Cape Symphony Presents: Culomba
Cape Symphony Presents brings Culomba to Falmouth Cape Symphony Presents brings professional vocal ensemble Culomba to Cape Symphony’s Falmouth campus (60 Highfield Drive) on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 4:00 PM. Culomba is known for close harmony singing and unique repertoire spanning American folk, Georgian, Corsican, Balkan, and Renaissance music. Their performances blend traditional and contemporary influences, transporting audiences through time and across cultures. Culomba (meaning “dove” in Corsican) is founded in longtime friendships, New England singing traditions, and a shared passion for harmony in all its forms. Each of Columba’s vocalists has international touring experience and deep roots in folk singing communities. They are: Sophie Michaux (mezzo-soprano/accordion), Adam Jacob Simon (tenor/baritone/plucked strings/composer), Lysander Jaffe (tenor/violin), Lexi Ugelow (alto/percussion), Daniel Fridley (bass/wind instruments), Sora Harris-Vincent (alto), and Avery Sherman (bass). Together, they deliver a performance that is both meticulous and inviting. From ancient folk tunes to original compositions, their shows weave together beautiful harmonies, engaging stories, and a relaxed, engaging stage presence. Tickets to Culomba are $25; purchase through Eventbrite or at the door if available. Email Richard Chwastiak (rchwastiak@capesymphony.org) for information about a student discount.
