The Yarmouth Port Library Presents Vin Miles “Captains Fantastic: The Eldridge Brothers of Yarmouth Port” Friday, September 27th, 1:00PM Sea Captain Asa Eldridge had two brothers who also became famous sea captains. Mr. Miles will discuss the careers of all three and highlight a feat accomplished by all three; a feat that only a handful of sea captains ever achieved. Mr. Miles is a native of Liverpool, England who has lived in the Boston area for many years, Vincent Miles has written three books and two magazine articles that connect these port cities in very different ways, and also contributed an essay to a fourth book related to Liverpool. He is an author of maritime history and more. In 2023 Miles was elected an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in recognition of the published works which can be found on his web site, vjmiles.com.
