Hidden Cape Cod History
Barbo explores hidden history of Cape Cod Author Theresa Mitchell Barbo of Yarmouth Port will discuss hidden tales of Cape Cod’s 15 towns at the Tales of Cape Cod Monday lecture series on Aug. 1. Learn why Cape Codders call their lunch “the noontime dinner†and why a most famous Coast Guard rescue spent nearly 50 years in the shadows. Barbo is a journalist, former news reporter and author of books on New England. The program begins at 7 p.m. at the Olde County Courthouse, Route 6A, Barnstable. Admission $7.
