For thousands of years the southern shore of Cape Cod where the indigenous peoples lived, from Bass River to Mashpee, was known as the South Seas. In 1713 the Yarmouth Proprietor’s laid out a 160-acre reservation for the indigenous peoples of Yarmouth to live upon. This confined area was their home for 65-years. Join Wampanoag/Nipmuc Marcus Hendricks and historian Bob Kelley on this talk about native culture and historical events in a walking tour around the perimeter of this one-time reservation.
