Native American trail walk Nipmuc-Wampanoag Marcus Hendricks and local historian Todd Kelley will lead a one-mile Native American walk along the Thacher Trail of the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth in Yarmouth Port on Monday, May 24 and June 7, both at 3 p.m. They will discuss the Woodland Period through 200 years after the European settlers arrived, such as hunting, fishing and domestic life, and interaction with the new settlers. The walk will end at the turtle wetu built by local Native Americans and members of the historical society. Tickets are available in advance only on the historical society website, www.hsoy.org, at $15 for non-society members. Attendance is limited to 25. Covid-19 protocols will be followed. No walk-ups will be admitted. Rain date is May 25 and June 8.
