About Us

Marie's Homemade Breads is a home-based business with a social impact. Owner Marie Younger Blackburn created Marie's Homemade Breads along with #includeme as an initiative for promoting the inclusion of those with different abilities. Marie's Youngest son Chase (18) was born with down syndrome and several other accompanying issues. To teach Chase life skills she has involved her son in different aspects of the business. Chase is the brand ambassador, delivery man, and packaging associate. Her baking skills are used as an avenue for Chase to earn money, gain self-confidence, and interact with the community.

Marie graduated from Johnson and Wales and previously owned and operated her own catering business.
