Cape Cod may be cold in January, but the Cape Symphony’s January 21 & 22 Masterpiece concert, The Romantics, will heat things up with rock star classical composers. The Romantic Era marked the ascendancy of titans such as Richard Wagner (Prelude to Die Meistersinger), Franz Liszt (Piano Concerto No. 1), Robert Schumann (Konzertstück), and Johannes Brahms (Academic Festival Overture) who revolutionized the art of live performance, seducing audiences with their unbridled talent and charisma. We'll be joined by award-winning pianist Maxim Lando, who will perform Liszt’s most famous piano concerto. In fact, he just won the prestigious New York Liszt International Piano Competition, performing the same piece that you will hear with the Cape Symphony!
