Vampires of Cape Cod at Yarmouth Port Library
The Yarmouth Port Library Presents Dr Susan Jarek-Glidden “Vampires of Cape Cod”! Ever since she can remember, Dr. Susan F. Jarek-Glidden has been fascinated by legends, folklore, as well as “ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night”. She is a graduate of Elms College in Chicopee, MA, holds a Master’s degree from the Catholic University of America In Washington, D.C., and a Ph.D. from Boston University. Dr. Jarek-Glidden has been speaking about New England’s vampires for over twenty years on the North Shore, South Shore, in Western Massachusetts, and throughout the Mid-Cape. She has been invited to speak twice at Tales of Cape Cod, and twice at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster. She was the guest speaker at the Wilbraham, MA Library when it sponsored a town-wide reading of Dracula. This is her second invitation to speak at the Yarmouth Port Library. She and her husband, Anthony Jarek-Glidden, visited Transylvania last year, where they toured Bran (aka “Dracula’s”) Castle. They live in Yarmouth Port with their beloved seal point Siamese, Maluska. Program to be held at the library, 297 Rt 6A (Main St), Yarmouth Port. Call 508-362-3717 to reserve your spot.
