The Alex Minasian Jazz Ensemble will introduce an evening of jazz at the Music Room in West Yarmouth. Their musical selections will honor the legends of jazz music, such as Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk as well as music from the Great American Songbook. Pianist Alex Minasian has performed in most of the country’s most famous jazz rooms, including the Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Apollo Theater. He served as the last pianist to iconic jazz singers Little Jimmy Scott, and Mark Murphy. He currently serves as pianist for Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Little Anthony and the Imperials..
