Listen to and discuss with Mercy, a Barnstable native and long-time resident of Plymouth—portrayed live by Michele Gabrielson, a local history teacher and historical interpreter who specializes in important women from the Revolutionary period—as she tells the story of how she rejected the conventional expectations of women in the 18th century and became the first historian of the American Revolution.
