CARE for the Cape and Islands has been selected by Whole Foods as recipient of 5% on Wednesday, March 30th. CARE (Creating A Responsible Environment) for the Cape & Islands is a local non-profit seeking to tap travelers’ growing interest in and support of eco-tourism and green travel, and their philanthropic inclinations to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Cape & Islands as a national treasure and travel destination CARE for the Cape & Islands has been selected by Whole Foods Market in Hyannis, MA as the beneficiary of its 5% Day. Four times each year, Whole Foods Market donates 5% of the day’s net sales to a selected local organization, and on Wednesday, March 30, CARE will be the featured organization. Volunteers from CARE will staff an information table inside the store throughout the day. CARE will allocate funds received from the 5% Day to fund their 2016 projects, from bee pollination to beach adoption and historic sea captains’ row mural.
