West Yarmouth Congregational Church will host this year's annual Advent vespers,  inviting the public to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays to focus on the true reason for the season.  Two different services will be held in the sanctuary at 383 Route 28, on Tuesday evenings, December 1 and 15 at 6 pm.  This year’s theme will be "Traveling the Highways of Advent" based on a book of the same title written by Stan Purdum.  The services will be approximately 35 minutes in length and will feature readings, prayers, special music and candlelight, followed by a pot luck supper in Baker Hall.  The church is handicapped accessible, and all are welcome to both the vespers and supper, whether you are able to share a dish or not.
