Organist Brian Jones and pianist David McGrory return to the Audience Room of the Yarmouth New Church on Sunday, September 8th, for a concert featuring the community center’s 1872 William H. Clarke tracker pipe organ and vintage Steinway piano. David McCrory The concert, at 5 p.m., will include duets and solos by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Ravel, Walther, Nevin and Demarest. It will last about an hour. Jones leads the Boston-based semi-professional choir, The Copley Singers, and is the Emeritus Director of Music at Trinity Church, Copley Square, Boston. McGrory, who is originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, has a wealth of compositional and piano performance experience. The Yarmouth New Church was built in 1870 as a Swedenborgian church but is now owned by a nonprofit foundation and operated as a community center. The Audience Room has been restored to its 19th-century decorative style and has excellent acoustics for music. Cash, personal checks, Visa or Mastercard are accepted. Seating is limited. All proceeds will be used to defray the cost of maintaining the Tracker organ.
