Using your iPhone to Express Yourself
Using Your iPhone Camera to Express Yourself March 9, 16, and 23. 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Instructors: Michael and Suz Karchmer. This three-session workshop will be a hands-on introduction for using your iPhone, iPad, or other other Apple mobile device to express yourself photographically. The emphasis will be on moving beyond the built-in (“nativeâ€) camera app in order to be able to make enhanced and creative images that reflect how you see the world. After a general introduction on how iPhone photography is different from traditional photography, a number of photographic apps with various purposes will be introduced and you will have the opportunity to practice using these with the assistance of the workshop leaders. The emphasis throughout will be on practical rather than technical issues; you don’t need to be an experienced photographer—although some knowledge of photography or art would be helpful. The goal is to show you how to make creative images on your mobile device that are more than just snapshots. $100, $85 for members. For more information, visit www.cultural-center.org.
